WANT TO KNOW MORE?
Beginning piano at a young age, my enthusiasm and desire to create and be involved with music in any possible way has grown stronger every year. From watching classic MGM musicals and singing all the Christmas carol harmonies imaginable with my Mother, to creating my own pieces and collaborating with other creative minds, I'm truly happiest when surrounded by sound.
I studied piano for 4 years in formal lessons - including AMEB grades - was self taught for a following 4 years, before going back to formal lessons during high school, where I studied Music Course 2 (NSW HSC) and majored in composition. During this time, I also taught myself guitar, was actively involved in choirs and A Capella ensembles, as well as learning various string instruments/parts for ensembles when asked.
I believe that it is this combination of formal music education and learning by ear that allows me to create the music I do. I love to improvise with ideas, harmonies, timbres and the manipulation of sound to see what new and exciting sounds I can create. I am currently doing this at the Victorian College of the Arts, studying Interactive Composition, and am excited to see where it will take me!
